I cut gaskets today, aren’t they pretty?

The engine isn’t ready to go back together yet, still waiting on a few parts. I also need to bore out the case to accept the large diameter of the meceur kit. I can’t really roll on anything else until I get this bad boy back together, so I’d best get on it.
Also, I don’t know about you, but I always hated making bolt holes through gaskets. It was the number one way I’d fuck up the piece I had just spent half an hour cutting. Not anymore! I bought this hollow punch set at Bargin Supply and am in love. You pick the appropriate size punch, line it up, and smack it with a hammer. Instant perfect hole. Amazing!

Sanguino board is now soldered and ready to go. Hooray! I uploaded a test sketch and everything went smoothly. Next step: Stepper motor controller! And a stepper motor. I’m going to need 3 of each. rad.

On a side note, I had to set comments to approval mode again; spam bots with nonsense english and super deals on lexapro, ya’ dig?
I don’t know much about microcomputers, but I have a feeling they could make my life more awesome. I’ve been doing some research and was leaning towards the Arduino but changed my mind all last second like and opted for the Sanguino on account of it’s being the base for the latest gen of electronics for the RepRap (Yes, I want to build one). Below is a pic of my kit that arrived in the mail today; I’m all out of solder otherwise it’d be going together right now…
